Event Review: Delta Participates in WIN EURASIA and Showcases Industrial Automation Products with Outstanding Drive and Control Capabilities

Delta recently participated in the 2018 WIN EURASIA show, which opened on March 15 at TUYAP Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul, Turkey. The WIN EURASIA show is a leading trade fair for the Turkish manufacturing industry that comprehensively covers metalworking, mechanical components, fluid power solutions, pneumatic technology, welding and cutting, materials handling, intralogistics, surface treatment, electric and electronic technologies, industrial automation, and more. The show attracts thousands of companies and corporations from around the globe. This year, Delta exhibited a variety of industrial automation products and solutions, including the Compact Modular Mid-range PLC AS300 Series, the Compact Drives M300 Series, the Vector Control Drives C2000 Series, and the AC Servo Drive ASDA-A3 Series. In addition, Delta integrated a range of automation products to build a robot workstation that demonstrated onsite dynamic tracking and gluing processes on a conveyor. With its high-efficiency and automatic capabilities that fulfill many industrial demands, the robot workstation drew the attention of visitors and received many inquiries.

At the show, Delta's industrial automation products and solutions demonstrated high-efficiency integration and precise motion control. Highlights included:

Compact Modular Mid-range PLC AS300 Series: With a unique vision, Delta has developed a completely new controller model that covers the market demand between high-end low-range PLCs and low-end mid-range PLCs. The Compact Modular Mid-range PLC AS300 Series fulfills the requirements for machine automation that allows existing equipment to execute more advanced motion control and applications. It also fulfills standard factory automation with outstanding performance without the need for the purchase of expensive high-end control hardware. The AS300 Series features a modular design, high-speed processing, protocol integration, drive agreement integration, and patented installation. Compared with other competing brands' products in the same market, the outstanding performance of the AS300 Series offers many advantages.

Compact Drive MS300 Series / Economy Compact Drive ME300 Series: With a built-in programmable logic controller with up to 2k steps, and supporting various communication protocols including DeviceNet, Modbus TCP, and EtherNet/IP, the Compact Drives M300 Series saves on construction costs for customers. The M300 Series adopts the STO function that allows machines to instantly shut down and reboot, achieving a stable operating speed. For machine safety, this model series is certified with IP40 and NEMA1 standards that effectively reduce the chance of dust and pollutants entering inside the components, and it is suitable for industry equipment used in harsh working environments such as air compressors, outdoor chiller units, and more. The best product feature of the M300 Series is its compact exterior design that is up to 40% smaller than existing products, which allows customers to save plenty on installation space and cost.

Vector Control Drive C2000 Series / Fan and Pump Drive CFP2000 Series: To meet the drive demands for air conditioning equipment, Delta's Vector Control Drive C2000 Series along with industry-based control drives, adopt modular designs that customers can easily expand and maintain under various operating environments. Delta's Vector Control Drives, or the C Series family, are equipped with Modbus communications that provide a variety of power capacities including 230V, 460V, 575V and up to 690V, to fulfill refrigeration and air conditioning output demands. In addition, designed for heating and ventilation equipment, fan, and refrigeration systems, the IP55 Fan and Pump Drive CFP2000 Series provides large-scale fan and pump variable-frequency driving capacities, and adopts EMC filters and DC electric resistors, to efficiently reduce harmonics and improve power quality. The STO safety function and the built-in programmable logic controller's (10k steps) command control function allow customers to achieve factory automation with enhanced equipment operation efficiency.

AC Servo Drive ASDA-A3 Series: As a new generation AC Servo System, the ASDA-A3 Series is more compact in size and offers a highly efficient positioning capability to clients. The ASDA-A3 Series adopts 3.1 kHz bandwidth of high responsiveness and shorter setting time, and the 24-bit absolute type encoder with 350% of overload capacity. It is also equipped with the built-in motion control mode including 99 sophisticated motion commands and segments (PR Mode) that allows flexible single-axis programming. At the show, Delta also showcased the ASDA-A3 Series' low frequency vibration suppression function that enhances stable servo positioning when the mechanism is operating. In addition, the ASDA-A3 Series' compact size offers enhanced equipment value and efficiency, and is suitable for a wide range of applications such as electronic assembly, packaging, machine tools, and more, providing an industry upgrade for customers.

At the show this year, Delta also exhibited a robot workstation integrated with the SCARA Robots and the Machine Vision System for simulating dynamic tracking and gluing of workpieces on a conveyor. Its high precision and high-stability in operation drew the attention of attendees.

Turkey is located in the center of Europe and Asia, and its industrial development holds high potential. This year, the industrial automation fair of WIN EURASIA attracted 1,300 companies, and over 72,000 visitors and professionals from the greater Eurasia region participated, coming from China, Germany, Iraq, Iran, and Saudi Arabia. The WIN EURASIA trade show offers a platform for enhanced brand visibility and business opportunities. Delta revealed its outstanding industrial automation products and smart manufacturing solutions at the fair, as it continues to establish its brand and “Automation for a Changing World.”
