Delta's Advanced Industrial Automation and Motion Control Solutions Build High-end Machines for Japan at SCF 2017

Delta is attending the System Control Fair 2017 (SCF) in Japan from November 29th ~ December 1st and is showcasing our latest industrial automation products and machinery solutions for the industrial markets of Japan. The highlighted displays at Delta's booth include high performance automation products for high-end machinery and factories, the PC-based EtherCAT motion control solution for advanced drive, motion, control systems in machines, and an integrated industrial robot control solution for flexible production.

Considering customer needs in these markets, Delta is launching many new industrial automation products with high performance, robust functions, and user-friendly operation that enhance machine efficiency, overall productivity, and customers' competitiveness, including:

Delta's new Widescreen Ethernet HMI DOP-100 Series features advanced Ethernet communication capabilities to fulfill requirements for integration with smart machines, production lines, factories, and clouds. The DOP-100 Series is equipped with the latest Cortex-A8 high-speed processor and HD display resolution, and supports remote monitoring via various internet options including FTP, E-mail, and VNC. The DOP-100 also provides a user-friendly interface and satisfies global customers with up to 16 languages for input selection. It is the perfect choice to achieve information connectivity in various industries.

The Delta ASDA-A3 Series AC Servo Drive is designed for applications that require a high-speed response, outstanding accuracy, and remarkably smooth motion. Its built-in motion functions are perfect for flying cut, rotary table, E-Cam and other applications. The ASDA-A3 Series, with a 3.1 kHz frequency response and 24-bit resolution absolute type encoder, can increase its response capability, and the notch filters for resonance and a vibration suppression function facilitate the smooth operation of the machine. In addition, the ASDA-A3-E type can support EtherCAT communication and achieve precise, synchronized multi-axis motion control.

Delta also provides user-friendly editing software with a graphic interface and an auto-tuning function to minimize commissioning time and simplify the implementation process. The compact design of the ASDA-A3 Series servo drive and its motors greatly reduce the mounting space for easier arrangement in a control cabinet. The ASDA-A3 Series offers an exceptional user experience and optimizes the motion system for your equipment.

• Delta's new M300 Series compact drives, including the standard type MS300 Series and high performance type MH300 Series, support open/close loop control for both IM and PM motors. The high performance type MH300 Series supports open and close loops, while the standard type MS300 Series supports only open loop; and the high-speed models are available with up to 2000Hz (MH300) and 1500Hz (MS300) output frequency under open loop control.

Both MS300 and MH300 Series are provided in a compact design with up to 40% size reduction to save installation space. They feature user-friendly installation and operation with built-in PLC functions, multiple communication protocols (including Ethernet) and brake choppers. Their STO safety function guarantees smooth and steady operation when applied in advanced machines and factories.

• The IP55 Fan/pump Drive CFP2000 Series is Delta's brand new high durability Vector Control Drive for fan and pump applications. Featuring a built-in EMC filter, DC chokes, Real-Time Clock (RTC), and BACnet communication, the CFP2000 Series provides the best solution for the special needs of the HVAC industry. The IP55 model features highly effective protection against dust and water in harsh environments.

For highly efficient and precise machinery and flexible production, Delta is presenting:

• The PC-based EtherCAT motion control solution that adopts Delta's PC-Based Host Motion Controller MH1 Series as core control. When matched with the ASDA-A2-E Series servo drives and motors, the MH1 Series is able to conduct precise and synchronous motion control via EtherCAT communication, greatly enhancing the efficiency of machines in real applications. The MH1 can also extend the control on sensors, lights and other drive components with the Remote I/O Module R1-EC, providing a “one controller for all” solution for high-end machines. This cost-saving and simplified solution was one of the most inquired about displays at Delta's booth during the event.

• The robot drive and control solution adopts the ASDA-MS Series robot controller with servo drive integrated as the core control. The ASDA-MS Series features 10-axis synchronous control (4-axis robot + 6 external axes) and 4-axis motion drive functions in one single unit, perfect for SCARA robot and parallel robot control with no additional servo drives required. When applied in robot workstations, the ASDA-MS Series is capable of controlling another 6 axes aside from the 4-axis robot, providing a simplified system architecture with no additional controllers and higher efficiency. The ASDA-MS Series also allows easy programming and a user-friendly interface for parameter setting with PCs, pads, or Delta's Handheld HMI DOP-H Series.

The SCF is held every two years in Japan, and is considered an important index of factory automation trends and high-end manufacturing technologies for the year to come in local markets. In 2015, this exhibition attracted around 50,000 visitors that came to see the state-of the art automation technologies and products, as well as develop business opportunities. Delta, with its abundant range of industrial automation products and advanced solutions for manufacturing, earned the attention of many visitors at this year's SCF while building a greater brand awareness in Japan.
