Event Review: Delta Presents Smart Machinery Solutions at Manufacturing Indonesia 2018

Delta recently participated in the Manufacturing Indonesia 2018 fair in Jakarta, Indonesia from December 5th to 8th. During the event, Delta highlighted a variety of solutions and demo kits for the manufacturing industry, such as the Palletizing Robot Demo and Equipment IoT Application Solution, which attracted the attention of many visitors.

Manufacturing Indonesia is the leading annual industrial fair for manufacturing machinery, equipment, materials and services in South East Asia. The exhibition, which attracts more than 2,000 exhibitors, gathers professionals and experts from the manufacturing machinery field from 30 countries around the world, and creates countless business opportunities. Delta's booth received over 700 visitors at the 4-day event.

At the fair Delta presented a variety of IA products and solutions for manufacturing machinery. Highlights included:

• Palletizing Robot Demo: The demo's robot arms are driven by the Delta AC Servo Drive & Motor ASDA-A2 Series and controlled by Delta's 7-inch Controller with Widescreen Handheld HMI HMC07N411 and the Remote I/O Module for HMC Series. It demonstrates palletizing functions that put products from a conveyor onto a pallet. The ASDA-A2 Series supports CANopen, DMCNET, and EtherCAT communication protocols to connect the whole system. The full-closed loop control, auto notch filer, vibration suppression and gantry control functions help the robot palletize products stably and accurately. The 7-inch Controller with Widescreen Handheld HMI HMC07N411 adopts easy Remote I/O installation. It simplifies wiring with one cable to connect the Remote I/O Module for HMC Series. Delta's visitors showed great interest in the convenient and stable palletizing function of the demo, and there were many lively discussions.

• Equipment IoT Application Solution: This solution utilizes the 3G Cloud Router DX-2100 Series to connect the production equipment PLCs and transmit operation data to the SCADA System DIAView for equipment IoT monitoring. The DX-2100 Series supports two-way cloud data acquisition and transfer. Without an additional VPN server, it can build a secure tunnel via cloud server. The DX-2100 supports the standard industrial communication protocols, such as Modbus TCP and RTU/ASCII. It is also equipped with RS-485, RS-232 and WAN/LAN ports for various connection requirements. The SCADA System DIAView is smart management system software designed for the smart management of factory equipment and production processes. The DIAView features automated management functions including real-time system monitoring, data collection and analysis. It assists users in achieving remote monitoring and elevating the productivity of the whole plant.
