Event Review: Delta IA Provides Intelligent and Highly Automated Solutions at eMEX China 2017 (Suzhou)

Delta attended this year's Intelligent Technology Solutions & Smart Manufacturing Show (eMEX) in Suzhou, China from May 17th to 19th to showcase a complete range of smart manufacturing systems and technology. The event brought many visitors to Delta's booth, which displayed highlights such as an automatic manufacturing management platform, integrated IIoT and robot workstation, smart manufacturing solutions as well as Delta's latest products including the AC servo system ASDA-A3 Series and the IP55 Fan & Pump Drive CFP2000 Series.

With an increase of demand for smart manufacturing technology and services, traditional manufacturing industries are more focused on mass customization these days, while companies still struggle to meet this growing trend. Delta Greentech (China) Vice Chairman Jimmy Yin noted, “Smart manufacturing is an important future direction for Delta. Highlights of this event include the integrated IIoT and robot workstation which employs Delta's articulated robot combined with IIoT technology, cloud storage and a manufacturing execution system (MES) as well as other automation products such as machine vision system and area sensors. One of Delta's demos displayed the process of ordering via a tablet and producing customized name card as gifts, which were warmly received by visitors.

The automatic manufacturing management platform is an equipment monitoring system featuring major functions such as real-time monitoring control, alert and maintenance, manufacturing efficiency analysis and authority management. For example, DIAMMP offers real-time monitoring visualization for all equipment or production processes and enhances overall equipment maintenance.

Delta's products continue to meet smart manufacturing demands with advanced innovation, including the latest AC servo drives and motors such as the ASDA-A3 Series featuring 3.1 kHz bandwidth, 24-bit absolute type encoder with high resolution and up to 350% peak torque. Compact in size, the ASDA-A3 requires less installation space for better equipment use and to assist customers achieve an industrial upgrade. Delta's new IP55 Fan & Pump Drive CFP2000 Series specializes in applications including heat, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). The CFP2000 is equipped with IP55 enclosure protections and a built-in EMC filter as well as a DC reactor to effectively lower harmonic distortion and to improve power quality, and it is ideal for use in harsh environments, such as dust or wind.

This year, Delta focused on the theme of “smart manufacturing” and highlighted a series of displays from manufacturing management to equipment monitoring systems.
