Delta CNC Solutions Deliver Excellent Performance for CNC Machining Centers

CNC machining centers are used to manufacture many types of components in industries such as machinery, automobiles, architecture, injection molding, and many more. Key components in the CNC machining center system are traditionally provided by different suppliers and assembled by machine makers. This has caused difficulty for machine makers and manufacturers in system integration, troubleshooting and maintenance.

In Suzhou, China, a precision machinery manufacturer has recently successfully applied Delta's integrated CNC solutions to its 3-axis vertical machining center. This solution includes Delta's CNC controllers, spindle motor drive, AC servo motor and drive and industrial power supply. For communication, the CNC solution adopts Delta's self-developed DMCNET communication protocol to enhance the response speed and ensure high precision, high quality, short processing time and fine surface finishing results.

For this 3-axis machining center system, the Delta CNC controller works as the master and executes high precision logical calculation. It then sends commands through DMCNET to both the Delta machine tool specific servo drive ASD-A2-NN Series and the spindle servo drive ASDA-S Series. When receiving commands, the ASD-A2-NN servo drive uses position feedback from the encoder to precisely control the ECMC motor for process machining work such as milling, boring, drilling, screw thread tapping, screw cutting and many other complex processes. In addition, the ASDA-S spindle servo drive supports a motor speed to a maximum 4,000rpm. The system also enables the front USB interface, internal CF memory card and internet data transfer to facilitate multi-machine control.

Delta's CNC solution fulfills machine industry demands for high processing precision, faster production, and excellent finishing quality in a shorter production time, and with higher efficiency. It also delivers reliable quality and a global technical support and service network. Delta continues its efforts to provide an optimized CNC solution to the market and help our customers increase productivity and competitiveness.
