Delta Electronics Upgrades its Industrial Automation Solutions
with its High-End Controller – Mid-range PLC AH500 Series Showcased at Hannover Messe 2014

Amsterdam, Apr. 03, 2014 - Delta Electronics, Inc., the leading provider of industrial automation solutions announces its high-end controller, the Mid-range Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) – AH500 Series with high reliability, integrated network communication capability and motion control functions for advanced automation solutions will be presented at Hannover Messe 2014. The mid-range PLC - AH500 Series features a modular design, abundant network systems, and integrated software for high-end machine, factory automation and process automation applications.

For high end machine applications, the AH500 Series offers maximum 4,352 DIO points / 544 AIO channels for efficient communication and various facilities control in large scale machinery systems, such as textile machines and paper making machines. The abundant selection of extension modules (AIO, DIO, temperature, network, pulse-train and Delta's DMCNET motion control modules) increases the AH500's link capability to various facilities. The AH500 Series' high program execution speed and capacity can easily build up multi-axis control systems and therefore, it's ideal for high-end machine solutions.

The AH500 Series is also suitable for factory automation solutions. With its highly integrated CPU, the AH500 Series reduces programming time and increase operation efficiency, and its modularized design and hot-swapping function effectively reduces system downtime. Its flexible structure extends up to 100m or 2km (via fiber) between two local racks and can be easily applied to warehousing management system, material dosing and mixing systems, packing systems, and conveyer systems in factories.

For process automation such as water treatment and chemical processing, the AH500 Series provides highly integrated software ISPSoft for advanced programming, visualized hardware configuration and simplified network configuration. Further with hot-swapping feature and flexible I/O extension, the AH500 Series is able to maximize the operational efficiency and stability for each independent process to perform a seamless operation.

Recently, the AH500 was successfully applied to a water treatment plant in Jiangxi, China. With flexible installation, modular combination for network systems, convenient function blocks and reliable operation, the AH500 Series processes 30,000 tons of water treatment per day in the plant, supplying daily water usage of approximately 100,000 people.
