The CommonWealth Magazine issued on October 11 (No. 357) has revealed the 2006 Most Admired Company. Among the 23 industries, Delta Electronics has been awarded "The Most Admired Company in the Electronics Industry". This is also the 5th time that Delta Electronics has won this award. The average score of Delta Electronics is 7.51 this year.

The "Most Admired Company" awards ceremony took place at the Grand Formosa Regent Hotel in Taipei on October 16. Guests included the Minister without portfolio, Ms. Mei-yueh Ho, Minister of Economic Affairs, Mr. Ruey-Long Chen, Chairman of Intellectual Development for the New Economy, Mr. Stan Shih, Chairman of Chunghua Institution for Economic Research, Mr. Vincent Siew, and the Founder of CommonWealth Magazine, Ms. Yin, representatives of the 24 awarded companies, and many distinguished guests.

In his speech, Bruce points out that The Most Admired Company survey is valuable in terms of self-examination. He takes the examples of Delta Electronics (Thailand) and the acquisition of European Company, Ascom, to demonstrate that Delta Electronics possesses the capability of global operation. In addition, he is eager to remind the attendants the importance of environmental protection and encourage everybody to watch the "An Inconvenient Truth" documentary cast by Mr. AL Gore. Bruce's speech has been encored by Stan Shih and Chunghwa Telecom's Chairman Ho Chen.

The index of 2006 emphasizes the capability of global operation. Therefore, the foreign-owned companies have been increased substantially. Because the questionnaire is carried out by cross-reference by the companies within the same industry, Delta Electronics has won No. 1 in the Electronics industry for its outstanding capability of global operations.
