Delta Launches New Generation EV Charging Solutions at Hannover Messe 2013

Amsterdam, April 2, 2013 - Delta Group, a global leader in power and thermal management solutions, will announce the launch of its new generation EV charging solutions at the upcoming Hannover Messe 2013, which will be featured at Delta's booth (Stand A49, Hall 11). Delta's latest offerings to European users include both normal and fast chargers with smart features along with the Delta Site Management System (SMS). The Delta DC Quick Charger, renowned for its application in the Ishavsveien EV charging network in Norway, takes advantage of high power efficiency of up to 94% with greater user-friendliness, protection, and network integration. The Delta AC Charger, which has recently been integrated into Taiwan's first large scale charging stations project for high-end residential buildings, features stylish design and flexibility of installation.

In addition to solutions for EV users and station operators, Delta will showcase its integration of CHAdeMO, IEC CCS, SAE DC, and AC charging capabilities into one fast charger during Hannover Messe 2013. The combination of multi-standard charging interfaces will enhance the serviceability of the charging station to EV users regardless of design variances from EV to EV. The compatibility of chargers with Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) is also one of Delta's focuses for enabling charging infrastructure integration. With OCPP, Delta chargers can easily integrate with the back office of charging station operators without additional system integration efforts.

Since 2011, Delta has participated in EV charging programs in the U.S., Norway, Taiwan, Japan, and Thailand with its integrated charging solutions. The projects cover various applications including public and residential charging stations, multi-standard EV test sites, renewable energy integrated charging stations, and energy management of residential chargers in the community. For the Ishavsveien charging network in Norway, Delta offered DC Quick Chargers that provide 50-500V DC / 50kW output power with among the world's highest efficiency at the two pilot sites. Delta also cooperated with Farglory Construction in integrating EV charging solutions into high-end residential buildings in Taiwan.

Along with sales of electric vehicles globally, EV charging infrastructure has experienced healthy growth from governmental pilot projects to commercialized charging stations in recent years. Delta is looking forward to more opportunities to collaborate with partners in developing the EV charging infrastructure for a greener tomorrow.
