Delta DC Quick Charger Approved for NGVPC Subsidy in Japan

Taipei, Taiwan, January 16, 2012 — Delta Electronics, Inc. today announced its high efficiency DC Quick Chargers have been approved and listed in the Next Generation Vehicle Promotion Center (NGVPC) for government subsidy in Japan. The DC Quick Chargers are certified by CHAdeMO, the global industry standard for quick charging electric vehicle batteries. Customers in Japan who choose Delta DC Quick Chargers for EV charging station construction will receive a government subsidy of up to 50% of the charger's market price, which greatly reduces customer investment in charging infrastructure. This qualification will help accelerate Delta's deployment of EV Charging Solutions in Japan.

In addition to a 50kW model, Delta has also launched a 30kW model and a 46kW model to meet demand for installation and application in the Japan market. All models achieve a remarkably high efficiency of close to 95%. With industry leading efficiency, all models are equipped with RFID smart card authentication and charging circuit connectivity detection to ensure user verification and safety for EV charging.

All of Delta's DC Quick Chargers are designed to industrial specs, meet IP55 standards for water and dust resistance, and are perfect for outdoor installation. The chargers also have a 12-inch high resolution LCD for an easy-to-use operating interface.
