  Delta Unveils ASDA-A2 Series AC Servo Motor & Drive in India

An Advanced High-Performance Motor & Drive for High-Precision Positioning Control

New Delhi, September 2, 2010 – Dedicated to innovation, energy efficiency, and environmental protection, Delta Group, the world's largest provider of switching power supplies and DC brushless fans, has launched its advanced new high-performance ASDA-A2 series of servo motors and servo drives for motion control and network communication in India. As the current trend of motion control is to have the control command source close to the drive, Delta developed the new ASDA-A2 series to provide excellent motion control while eliminating the external controller. The purpose of these advanced motors and drives is to meet the demanding requirements of motion control applications in industrial automation and high-precision positioning control.

The ASDA-A2 series features a built-in electronic cam (E-Cam) function which offers the best solution for flying shear, rotary cutoff and synchronized motion applications. ASDA-A2 is designed with PR mode and CANopen interface. The whole new position control PR mode is a unique and significant function that provides a variety of control modes to enhance system performance. The ASDA-A2 series also provides the CANopen (1M bps) high-speed network communication interface which greatly decreases the difficulties of designing programs in the controllers and can achieve multi-axis parallel high-speed control. The full closed-loop control, auto notch filter, vibration suppression and gantry control functions of ASDA-A2 help to perform complex motions that require high precision and smooth operation. ASDA-A2 is equipped with a 20-bit level superior resolution encoder for accurate positioning applications and outstanding capturing and comparing functions for high-speed pulses that offer the best support for step-less positioning.
