Delta Electronics Declaration

Taipei, Taiwan, August 19, 2011 – The management of Delta Electronics disclaims today's media reports of Delta layoffs as untrue. In the 40 years since Delta was established, the company has always insisted on a no layoff policy, and continues to maintain this policy.

For Delta the continued rising wages of China's labor is predictable due to rapid economic development. Delta has always strived to automate manufacturing at its facilities in all locations throughout the world. To meet future trends in China, Delta will continue to aggressively automate its production lines and manufacturing processes to upgrade efficiency and reduce the required manpower.

Once again, Delta Electronics wishes to emphasize that today's media reports of layoffs at the company are not correct.
